Model API Deprecation Notice (DeepSeek R1 0528, Qwen3 235B A22B Instruct 2507)

The DeepSeek R1 0528 and Qwen3 235B A22B Instruct 2507 APIs will be deprecated at 5pm PT December 20th. 

At that time the model IDs will become inactive and return an error for all requests. As open source models advance rapidly, we prioritize serving the highest quality models and deprecate models when stronger alternatives are available.

We recommend DeepSeek V3.2 as an alternative. v3.2 offers long-context support, significantly stronger reasoning and coding performance, and robust agentic tool-calling capabilities. Just swap in the new Model ID deepseek-ai/DeepSeek-V3.2 prior to the deprecation date.
