Mani Parkhe joins our engineering team, bringing a unique combination of deep technical experience and leadership ability. Mani knows how to find hard problems and execute them end-to-end effectively, and we’re excited to have him join the Baseten engineering team to work on projects that span Dedicated Inference, Training, and Model APIs.
Mani spent the last eight years at Databricks, where he was one of the founding engineers on MLflow and the Tech Lead for the Model Registry and Feature Store. He later led the initiative to provide a consistent governance layer that ties Databricks' platform together, while continuously working closely with customers. Before Databricks, he built data and ML platforms at Uber and analytics infrastructure at LinkedIn, and spent close to fifteen years building CAD tools for chip design at Cadence Design Systems and Mentor Graphics.
Mani is able to look at complex interactions, technical or organizational, and propose clear solutions, informed by experience working across both at various levels of company scale. At Baseten, Mani will lead cross-functional projects driven by customer need, working with teams across disaggregated serving, infrastructure, and training. Throughout his career, he's been a mentor to countless engineers, both junior and senior, and that's just as much a reason we're thrilled to have him as his technical expertise.
Mani joins as we're growing the engineering team across the board: inference, training, model performance, infrastructure, and the applied engineers working closely with our customers. If you want to work on problems that touch some of the most ambitious companies in the world, we're hiring!
